Under the guidance of Sweden Ambassy, the Karazin University has held a meeting of its students with the Swedish diplomats headed by the Ambassador, Director of the Internship Program for diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Mrs. Helena Pilsas-Alin. The meeting took place with the participation of Vice-President Zarif Nazyrov who stressed that Sweden could become another European country for the University students to undertake an internship.

On April 7th, 2016, the winners of the contest for the best literary translation were defined. The contest was held under the initiative of the Department of English Translation Theory and Practice of the School of Foreign Languages. Pupils, students of the university and other education establishments took part in the contest. The second place in the nomination "Poetry" among the students was taken by Alla Shtykolenko, the student of the School of IER and TB.
