New Era of Student Self-Government at the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business

On February 28, 2013 the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business held a reporting-elective conference. The conference is a significant step in the development of the School’s self-government for all students and the administration of the School are working on creation of their future together.

The conference is legitimate for the quorum of 69 delegates was achieved. The Presidium comprised Dean of the School V. I. Sidorov, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Committee I. P. Nikisha, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Character Building A. P. Husliev and supervisor of student self-government H. V. Myliukha.

The conference heard the reports on the work accomplished by the student self-government of the School, the Trade Union Committee of the Student Trade Union Organization, the Student Scientific Society and the Student Dean’s Office.

Within the conference framework there were held re-elections of the leadership of the student organization of the School. The acting Head of the School’s Student Trade Union Organization was elected Iryna Liubarska, student of group UO-11. Her deputy was chosen Mykhailo Ihnatiev, student of group UO-13.

The Head of the School’s Student Scientific Society was elected Maryna Shevtsova, student of group UO-21. Of the two candidatures for the position of the Deputy Head of the Student Scientific Society, the one to hold it was Karyna Hulaha, student of group UO-11. Elina Romanova, student of group UT-11, became Secretary of the School’s Student Scientific Society.

David Tuniana, student of group UO-11, was given the position of Students’ Dean, Andrii Kazakov, student of group UO-21, became Students’ Associate Dean, Kateryna Karpenko was elected Secretary of the Student Dean’s Office.

The School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business has started a new era of student self-government though the traditions of leadership and success will forever remain the salt of the School.
