On October 15, 2013, fourth-year students of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business (Department of International Economic Relations) visited Kharkiv Airport.
Events like this have long become a tradition for students of the School. Every year officers of Kharkiv Regional Customs hold discussions with future international economists delving into the nuances of their future occupation.
At 8:30 the students from groups UO–41, UO–42 and UO–43 gathered at the International Terminal. Everyone was in time despite cold autumn weather, a long trip and early time.
The head of the shift of Kharkiv Airport, customs service adviser of 3-d rank, Oleksandr Kozmenko, acquainted the students with the airport work.
The students went all the way a person covers before departure: from the hall and the registration desks to the waiting room.
Moreover, Oleksandr Kozmenko told the young men about the specifics of passport and customs control. The students were also given an opportunity to observe luggage movement in the baggage compartment and to watch the personnel working in the control room.
The students were most interested in the demonstration of various devices such as a counterfeit money detector, a metal detector, a dosimeter, etc.
