The University creates a personality, makes the person brighter, richer, more successful and clever. Today marks a new page in your life. We wish you to bear the title of a Karazin University Student with honor,” said Vil Bakirov in his welcoming speech.

The symbolic student card and a chance to greet everyone on behalf of the first-year students with Day of Knowledge were given to Anastaciia Kryvko, student of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, winner of the All-Ukrainian competition in French, and Mykyta Onizhuk, student of the School of Chemistry, winner of the International competition in Chemistry.

As is the tradition on Day of Knowledge, the first-year students honored the memory of the University founder by laying flowers to the Monument to Vasyl Karazin. The tradition also has it to light the Fire of Knowledge near the Monument to Vasyl Karazin as a symbol of aspirations and thirst for knowledge.
