Travel and Area Studies Educational Practice

First-year students of the Department of Travel Business successfully completed their educational practice in Travel and Area Studies.

Practice is an integral part of the educational and professional training of students at the Department. The basis for organizing the educational practice is the mission to acquaint students with the specifics of their future profession and to make them acquire the primary skills and abilities in the career-oriented disciplines. The practice aim is to study their native area through the prism of travel distinctive character.

During their travel and area studies educational practice the students familiarized themselves with the tourism potential of Slobozhanshchyna, took the main tourist excursion routes that topically cover the outstanding places, historical, cultural, architectural and natural monuments as well as places related to the lives and activity of the famous national and foreign figures. A few examples of such places are National Literary-Memorial Museum of H. S. Skovoroda, A. F. Lunev Art History Museum in the village Parhomovka. Within the framework of their practice the students also visited Poltava, Krasnokutsk, Opishne, Dykanka, Hoholeve, Sviatohorsk, etc.

In September, when the students have systematized the materials in compliance with the laid out routes ad excursions, there will be held a credit class on their educational practice.
