Graduation of Masters and Specialists - 2013
The School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business is celebrating its 14th graduation of international economists and its 6th graduation of Specialists and Masters in Touism.
The graduates and faculty gathered at the University Building early in the morning. Everyone was wearing graduation caps and gowns, the brass band playing in the background. The graduates shared the happy event with their families and friends.
After laying flowers to the monument of V. N. Karazin, the University founder, the graduates’ column headed by the Vice-Presidents and Deans, to the sound of the brass band, festively set off through T. H. Shevchenko Park to M. V. Lysenko Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet House.
In the Theater they were greeted by University President, Academican V. S. Bakirov: “Today’s event is both a happy one for we are graduating our students and a sad one for we don't want to say goodbye to you, though we will forever stay together. You Alma Mater is not saying goodbye to you. We don’t regard you now as students but as colleagues.” V. S. Bakirov congratulated the Univesity graduates on behalf of the faculty and wished them to use the knowledge acquired at Karazin University to advantage.
Within the framework of the festivities at M. V. Lysenko Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet House the best University graduates were solemnly awarded memorable University medals for academic success, scientific achievements and active public activity. Among the best are two graduates of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business Olha Chychyna and Olesia Azarenkova.
Anastasiia Bondarieva, graduate from the School of Biology, thanked the University on behalf of all the graduates: “Today is a very important day for all of us – we have received higher education and we are lucky to be graduates of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University for our University diploma is an indicative that its holder is an educated and highly qualified specialist, and a key to open every door. We know from our own experience that our University is rightfully considered one of the best in Ukraine providing real classical education which is rather rare nowadays.”
After the solemn ceremony there was held a gala concert with participation of the best creative teams of the University and Kharkiv.
