On February 7, 2016, Karazin University held the second in the current academic year Open House Day offering future applicants an opportunity to communicate with the representatives of the schools, watch films about the University, look through presentation booklets of the schools.
University President Vil Bakirov welcomed the future students, “We are glad to see you on this sunny winter day at Karazin University, one of the most famous educational institutions, ranking among the TOP 500 world universities in the recognized international rankings, and holding the second place in Ukraine.” The University President outlined the reasons for choosing Karazin University to enter, which are classical education by the European standards, active research, developed student self-government, an extensive network of sports institutions, diverse performance ensembles and interesting events. All this enables the University students to fulfil themselves not only in thei studies, but also as scientists, public figures, managers, sportsmen, creative personalities. The enlightening function of the University is realized through the work of the University History Museum, Museum of Nature, Museum of Archaeology, Art Gallery, demonstration grounds of interactive science of the LandauCenter and contemporary art of the Yermilov Center that contribute to broadening the outlook and cultural enrichment. Mr. Bakirov emphasized that a graduate obtains not only a high-status university diploma, but also acquaintances and bright memories. The University President wished the future applicants to have happy student years followed by successful employment upon graduation.
The Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, Olha Anoshchenko, explained the peculiarities of the Entrance Campaign 2016. She outlined its terms, the list of the documents required, and focused on the innovations. Moreover, the potential applicants had a chance to meet with the representatives of the schools and receive detailed information on each program of training.
The School of IER and TB has prepared an information stand and booklets for the students, where the training specialties of the school, the terms of enrollment to the university and the terms of studying process were listed. In the preparation and the conduct of the Open House Day took part the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs L. I. Grigorova-Berenda, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations N. A. Kazakova, the Head of the Department of Travel Business A. Y. Parfinenko, students and the associate professors of the school.
