Karazin University is traditionally in the forefront of the national rankings and is listed in the international ones. This year, it has been ranked among 601-800 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
With the twelve years of experience, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings are believed a highly prestigious university ranking in the world. Their methodology relies on the following performance indicators: teaching (learning environment), research (volume, income and reputation), citations (research influence), international outlook (staff, students and research), industry income (knowledge transfer).
Besides this ranking, Karazin University has twice ranked among the TOP-500 world best universities by the QS World University Rankings, a global survey of world universities’ performance indicators in science and education calculated using the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) methodology that in particular takes into account the employer reputation of the university.
In 2013 and 2014 Karazin University was the only Ukrainian university to be ranked among 500+ of the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), also known as Shanghai Ranking, considered one of the most influential university rankings. The basis of the survey conducted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University is the number of the Nobel Prize laureates or Fields medalists among the university alumni as well as the number of articles published in the Nature and/or Science journals.
Karazin University is one of the three universities representing Ukraine in the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP). The University is listed in the Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) based on the number and quality of scientific publications indexed in Scopus.
Karazin University a participant in the U-Multirank established by the European Commission where its performance is comparable to that of East European universities.
Karazin University ranks among the leaders of the national rankings: Top 200 UkraineUniversity Ranking compiled by the Center for International Projects Euroosvita in partnership with the international group of experts, the ranking of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the consolidated ranking from the information resource Osvita.ua, and the transparency ranking of higher educational institutions from the analytical center Cedos, where Karazin University is traditionally among the TOP-3.
