Karazin University, on the initiative of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, held a round-table discussion “Business Reloaded. Second Level: Possibilities and Challenges”.
The event was organized under the aegis of the Center for Employment of students and alumni of the University.
The main purpose of the discussion was to look into the economic competence of representatives of Ukrainian business and the necessity to increase the level of their qualification through exchange of professional experience.
The meeting with the students was attended by Oleksandr Chumak, Head of the Association of Private Employers of Kharkiv, and Yurii Kostohlodov, ICOM Capital managing partner.
“Nowadays economic development is very topical and acute for our country. That is why the students whose major is closely connected with business are supposed to have practical skills of doing business, communicating competently with investors and drawing up business plans,” pointed out Mr. Chumak. Mr. Kostohlodov told the students about the main drawbacks of Ukrainian entrepreneurship and ways of improving the situation in the field: “The thing is businessmen need to begin to learn again finally giving up the habit of constantly following the beaten track.”
The Dean of the School of f International Economic Relations and Travel Business, Professor Vadym Sidorov, who participated in the round-table discussion as well, noted that at present it is very important for the youth to fulfill themselves and find a decent job. That is why such events are useful and of immediate interest for the student community.
