Congratulations to Valeriia Akulova on her Achievement in Archery Cometition!

On January 9-12, 2014, the Karazinskyi Educational and Sports Complex hosted the All-Ukrainian Archery Competition for Viktor Ruban Olympic Champion's Cup.

The tournament engaged 192 athletes from Ukraine and Russia and was held under six categories: men and women in classic bow, cadets and girls in classic bow, men and women in compound bow.

Valeriia Akulova, second-year student of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, came fifth in the compound bow category.

Moreover, Viktoriia Koval, alumna of the School of Chemistry of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, world-class master of sports of international level, won the women’s classic bow category. The archeress took the first prize both in individual and team competitions.

We would like to congratulate Valeriia and wish her success and further achievements in sports!

For reference: Viktor Ruban is an athlete from Kharkiv, an Olympic champion in archery (individual competition in the 2008 Olympics), an Olympic bronze archer (team competition in the 2004 Olympics), World champion in the mixed competition and bronze archer in the individual competition (2009), European champion (2006), Champion in the individual competition and silver holder in the mixed competition (Universiade 2009), bronze holder in the European Championship 2011, recipient of multiple Ukrainian Archery Championship Cups, and Merited Master of Sports.
