A New Major: BS in Area Studies
V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is pleased to invite future students to enroll in a new major - Area Studies in a Bachelor’s degree program provided by the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business.
Area Studies graduates may be involved in information analytics, consulting, expert activities regarding the development specifics of individual countries and regions in the field of international relations and public administration; work for private or public organizations; conduct educational research or research activities; to hold positions of attaché, diplomatic courier, diplomatic courier, expert or consultant in social and political matters of region countries, political observer, trip (excursion) organizer, escort interpreter, lecturer at a higher educational institution, consultant of advertising agents, tour guide, travel consultant, international analyst or specialist in tourist services.
Much attention is devoted to the study of foreign languages, namely: Chinese and English as the main languages, and German or French as the second language chosen by the student. The scope of training in Chinese is equal to that provided under a translator’s training program.
